Big Sister

I created this artwork to celebrate my sister’s birthday.

The central piece represents the individual, while the large circle surrounding it symbolizes strength, connection, and a sense of wholeness.

On a personal level, the work also reflects the distance between my sister and me. Living far apart can sometimes make it difficult to see each other as often as we would like.
That distance is present in the work, but so is the connection that remains despite it.

It feels special to translate emotion into raw material, to give something personal a physical form through steel.
